Step 1: on the Windows 10 lock screen, select the “I forgot my PIN” option.

Step 2: enter your Microsoft account password that is registered on your PC.

Step 3: If you have registered a cell phone in your account, click on it to proceed. If you do not have a cell phone registered, you must register it on your account using another device before proceeding.

Step 4: enter the last 4 numbers of your cell phone so that a message is sent to it and click on “Send code”. Then, enter the numbers in the indicated location and click "Check".

Step 5: a message advising you of changing your PIN will be displayed. Click "Continue" at the bottom.

Step 6: enter the new PIN, confirm it, and click “Ok” when finished. Your PC will open and the PIN will be changed.

Tip: enable the “Include letters and symbols” function if you do not want to use only numbers in your new password.

How to change your Windows 10 password

Step 1: Open the start menu and select the “Gear” icon to access the Windows 10 “Settings” menu.

Step 2: with the menu open, select the “Accounts” option.

Step 3: in the side menu, select the option “Input options”.

Step 4: in the tab, select the option “Windows Hello PIN”.

Step 5: To change the password to access your Windows 10, click on “Change”.

Step 6: Fill in your current PIN, the new PIN and confirm it. Finishing the process, click "OK". Your password to access Windows 10 has been successfully changed.
